What I deliver

Consent-ready engagement

I build interactive 3D models that residents explore on their phones, so feedback on height, views and setbacks is specific and traceable. I run targeted outreach to renters and culturally diverse communities who don’t come to drop-in sessions. You get evidence ready for your Engagement Outcomes Report.

Community benefit agreements

I work with councils on the community side: gathering community priorities before negotiation, reviewing proponents’ social impact assessments, and setting up simple frameworks to report what benefit funds achieve.

Inclusive engagement for plans

I join planning teams as an engagement subconsultant for 2050 comprehensive plans and community input on contested proposals, reaching BIPOC, renter and immigrant communities.

"Competence and capability in bringing the complexity of urban issues into a quality outcome"

Douglas Belton has worked into the Urban Transformations Research Centre through two important research projects. The first was through some background research on Net Zero Cities in a global perspective which allowed us a general scan of the current knowledge. The second has been through a liveability labs research project where we are considering key indicators to map variations in liveability across Western Sydney. For both research projects Douglas has shown competence and capability in bringing the complexity of urban issues into a quality outcome.
